Come and explore the 300 year-old Stockton Inn, nestled in the quaint town of Stockton, New Jersey. The historic Stockton Inn has an elegant restaurant, a rustic tavern, outdoor dining & heated outdoor bar with fire-pit, and cozy overnight rooms with many unique historic touches. Fine dining is served in the exquisite Mural Rooms with fireside seating during the colder months, and expands to the Glass Room as spring and summer approaches. In the warmest months of the year, savor your meal and your surroundings and dine along side a waterfall on our beautiful outside patio At The Stockton Inn, history abounds. The Murals in the original dining rooms were painted by local artists during the depression in exchange for room & board for their families. Each of the murals depict a historic scene or event from the surrounding region. The Glass Dining Room has a very unique and historic Silver Dollar floor and the Tavern, or “Farmer’s Bar” has the original, molded tin ceiling, and fine mahogany wood detail throughout. The Stockton Inn’s newly renovated guest rooms offer a selection of 11 beautiful bedrooms, suites, and studios (most with fireplaces), perfect for weary travelers to spend the evening! The Tavern, established in 1832, echoes of days gone by. Kick back with friends, both old and new, and enjoy our classic tavern menu and fine spirits within this historic setting. Planning a special day? Look no further than The Stockton Inn. Our experienced event planner is happy to work with you to arrange the perfect celebration in our indoor or outdoor banquet facilities. The early 20th century was one of the greatest eras in songwriting history. Remember the song “The Little Hotel with the Wishing Well?” The Stockton Inn was immortalized when it became the centerpiece of this classic repertoire written by Richard Rogers and featured on Broadway. While visiting with us at The Stockton Inn, take time to enjoy all that abounds in the region. Feel like moving a bit? The Delaware and Raritan Canal runs through town with great jogging and bike paths for miles along the Delaware River. Want to soak up a little history? Visit Washington’s Crossing where Revolutionary War re-enactments take place every year a few miles south of Stockton. Does historic architecture interest you? Don’t miss the original Prallsville Mill and one of America’s last standing Covered Bridges. If shopping is your thing, spend memorable days and evenings antiquing in the charming towns of the region such as Lambertville, New Jersey or New Hope in beautiful Bucks County Pennsylvania. Don’t forget your camera to capture the natural beauty that surrounds us! Our greatest pleasure will be to provide you with a wonderful meal, outstanding service, and if it’s in your plans, a restful night’s sleep in a beautiful and tranquil environment. Perfect for any occasion, Stockton Inn gift cards and note cards are available for family and friends. Thank you for visiting our website, and we look forward to seeing you soon. We are here to serve you, so do reach out and let us know how we can help you enjoy this wonderful establishment in the quaint Borough of Stockton. Fred & Janet Strackhouse |
